Louis Christian Berg
(1905-1981)

Louis Berg is the grandson of George Berg and Barbara Maslardits Berg.

Louis was born in Auburn, Michigan on 11 August 1905. He remained in Auburn through the 1930.

On 11 October 1937, he married Helen Kathryn Uhlmann. Helen died on 12 June 1943, less than a year after giving birth to their only child.

A year later, on 23 September 1944, Louis remarried.

According to the 1920 census, he was living with his parents and was able to read, write, and speak English. In 1927, he was still "at home" according to his father's obituary. But three years later, the 1930 census listed him as head of the household living only with his sister and a 10 year old border named James Shea. James could read and write and had attended school during the past year.

Louis died in Homer, Michigan on 26 January 1981.
