This journal was written during a 20 month period while I was in graduate school at Michigan State University. I decided to share this journal because it records some of my early research as well as issues I faced when I first began teaching.
In preparing this journal for publication, I have made the decision to delete sections for several reasons that are explained elsewhere.
To find an entry for a specific date, please consult the 1984 index. The portion of the journal that covers 1985 has not yet been prepared for publication on-line.
