Dear Tracy:
Thank you for sending me the genealogical material. I have entered it into Family Tree Maker so the information will appear on future charts.
One of the benefits of being a member of Ancetry.com is that I have access to the research that other people have done on family history. Several individuals have done research on various branches of your family. Although I am still working with this material, I do have some preliminary results I can share with you.
The attached documents are limited only to those people who are directly related to you and do not reflect all of the information I have already located. Please note that because the documentation is typically missing from other people's family trees, I am not willing to definitively say that these people are your ancestors; only that I have evidence to suggest the relationship exists.
I have also spent some time working on census records or other documentation. However, once I locate this material, it takes time for me to get it organized in a format I can easily share. Therefore, these types of records will be forthcoming. Because of my short attention span, I go back and forth doing different types of research, processing documents, and branches of the family tree. That way, I can continue work almost daily on the genealogy without becoming overwhelmed or losing interest.
One thing I want to point out is that some of your relatives immigrated to the English colonies at the same time as did Kevin's relatives. Because both of the families ended up in Plymouth, it is likely that your 8th-10th great grandparents and other relatives interacted with each other on a regular basis.
I am going to close now so that I can get this letter in today's mail before running errands with my elderly neighbors. I do have one favor to ask. Would it be possible for you to send me your and Kevin's e-mail addresses? I can be reached at steve@stevenlberg.info.
I will write more later as I continue my research.
Sincerely,
