Dear Carol:
First, let me apologize for the terribly long delay in getting back with you with additional genealogical information.
Enclosed you will find what is technically known as an Ahnentafel Report. It lists your ancestors as well as the documentation I have for them. Because I am a member of Ancestry.com, I am able to incorporate other people's work into my own. However, if the source for the information is a "Public Member Tree," I do not treat it as credible until I am able to verify the information myself.
I have done some work with census and other documents that relate to your ancestors, but have not yet had time to do a great deal of verification.
I have spent some time working on the Tracy branch of the Wilcox part of the family and have discovered that your husband as some interesting ancestors. I am in the process of finalizing the documentation that traces that branch of the family back to c. 271 and plan to e-mail it out when it is available.
My father was here for Father's Day and I showed him your last e-mail message; the one in which you say that Walt and I look like brothers. He agreed.
Tomorrow, my father is returning to town to help me do some remodeling in my kitchen. We are not doing a lot of work; just enough so that I have room for a new refrigerator. Later this summer, my brother Mike plans to help me lay tile in the kitchen.
I hope all is well with you.
Sincerely,
Steven L. Berg
