Dear Mary:

Enclosed you will find a variety of genealogical documents. The first one is what is technically known as an Ahnentafel Report. It lists your ancestors as well as the documentation I have for them. Because I am a member of Ancestry.com, I am able to incorporate other people's work into my own. However, if the source for the information is a "Public Member Tree," I do not treat it as credible until I am able to verify the information myself.

At this point, I have not done a great deal of work with the Wilcox side of the family. However, I am aware of some published materials for which I have access that should allow me to verify the information in the Ahnentafel chart.

I have also included an Hourglass chart that shows your ancestors and descendants. I can get you a chart that goes back more than three generations if you would like it.

Finally, I have included Pedigree charts for both you and Tracy. Traditional genealogists do not care much about the ancestors of individuals such as Tracy and your mother who marry into the. That is not the case with me.

If Tracy is willing to give me the information about his parents, grandparents, or other relatives, I am willing to keep tract of it, too. That way, when I print out charts for your children they will have two sets of grandparents.

As you can see on your chart, much information is missing. If you could fill in the missing materials-such as birth dates and the date of your marriage-and send me the information, I would appreciate it. You could write it on the charts or send me an e-mail.
