Dear Witold,

My mother is Julia Liberacki Berg. Although I do not speak Polish, I have found a program that does translations for me. Therefore, I know that my Polish is poor. However, I hope it is good enough so that I can begin to correspond with my relatives who still live in Poland.

My mother was very interested in family genealogy and collected many materials before her death. I am now working on the genealogy.

The photograph on the envelope is of Mikolaj and Veronica Liberacki. John and Alex Liberacki were two of their children. Alex Liberacki was my grandfather.

Later this summer, I will be sending you more information about the genealogy. I hope that you will be able to help me make corrections and to complete missing portions of it.

Your address and the address for Sr. Maria Kozlarzewska are the only ones I have for Polish relatives. I also have an e-mail address for Sr. Maria. I would appreciate it if you could share this letter with other family members. Could you also encourage them to send me postal and e-mail addresses so that I can keep in contact with them?

I have been sending birthday cards to relatives. In June, I know that Vesha Gosciewski and Henry Gosciewski both have birthdays. I will send their cards to you and ask that you forward the cards to them.

I look forward to corresponding with you. Please feel free to write in Polish.
