Feb. 2, 1928.
Dear Lillian:
Will try and answer your most welcome letter that I received months ago, am sorry that I have not answered sooner but have been busy first it was Christmas then we went back to camp and stayed there for a couple of week, than came back down home. When we were at, they have not started to work yet and do not know when , so I suppose will stay at mamma’s for until they will start.
How do you like teaching by the time, I hope fine. How are your folks and Helen? What did you get for Christmas? I guess I will have to tell you what I got, a box of stationary, a towel, a purse, a pair of house slippers, a clothes pin bag, three handkerchiefs, a rubber apron, set of salt & pepper shakers, a awful pretty pin cushion, a picture, a mustard bowl, pr of silk stockings and two silk pr of bloomers. I guess that is about all I can think of, Santa treated pretty good this year.
How is the weather back there, it has been awful rainy and foggy and had a little snow and frost. Euclid is just fine gets around every place and into everything that you do not want her into, she will be eighteen month old a week from Saturday. she certainly got her share of Christmas present and then does not want to play with them very much.
Mary and her boy are just fine.
Well I guess I must close and do a little sewing, I have to keep busy or I will never get it down. You will have to xcuse such writing because Eulia wants to read it as fast as I want to write it. So long, write soon.
As ever,
Rose
Mrs. Cecil E. Davis
