Dear Lillian,
I guess you think by this time, I’m never going to answer your letter, acknowledging your Xmas card or do any thing that I’m supposed too, don’t you?
Lillian I would have given anything to have spent Christmas week with you, but as you know. Mama was not at home, tho she came home on Thursday before Xmas, then as her being home. we all felt like, we should stay & all be together.
I know you & you’re folks had a grand time during the holidays. didn’t you. We had a real good time, quiet time.
New Years Eve. was not at all like the ones of 4 or 5 years ago. On every corner of Main Street was were 4 or 5 policemen. They would pull one if they drove over 10-15 miles and hor—shot a fire crackr within too blocks of the “Drag”—or was in any way—to noisy on the “drag” etc. and those that were the least bit “lit.” (if they laught. em. All fire crackers over three inches were prohibited. Tho the gang I was with shot some five inch one’s.
Lillian Do you skate on Ice skates? did you any time during Xmas. About once a week a crowd of us go skating (rollers) but I imagine its twice as much fun on Ice, is it?
Yesterday was hotter than a summer day. it is just like Florida! Dad is talking about going back this winter if he does I may go to. We would make a bee-line for Miami & Palm Beach. One sure can have a big time in P.B.
Tell Hellen & all the folks Hello for us. Lillian & tell them to write. Mamma said tell Mrs. Glasner to write.
Lillian, I will close this short letter, but will send you a picture we took Sunday. (if they are good).
Your friend
Lillian.
