Dear Miss Glasner,

You do not know how surprised I was when I received your lovely letter. I could hardly wait to open it. Yes, my letter was sent to the correct address as I live two miles north of the village. It certainly seems a pleasure to hear from you and to know that you enjoyed my poem.

I hope you like your school this yer. I bet it is a fine one. Do write, and tell me all about it when you find time for I am interested. Mother used to teach school in Detroit when she lived there and she has friends living on the same Blvd.

Yes, things are agreeing with me this year, although the Junior year is much harder than the Sophomore year but we must expect that.

I gave Fannie, Virginia, Genevieve and Carrie May, your address and told them to write to you. They said they would and wanted to know all about how you liked your school. I am sure that you will hear from them soon.

The “Juniors” wanted me to ask you if you could come to the play “And Home Came Ted” given the 13th and 17th of this month. Do come if you can for it would be a great pleasure to be with you once more. “We” would feel our work was much rewarded if you were there.

Our English class have just finished the play of “Macbeth” which I like very much. It is much easier to understand “Macbeth” after having studied “As You Like It” which we had last year.

Our “Junior” class is composed of 23. Lucas, Roy, Henry, Cleo, Bernice and Cornelia did not come back this year. Perhaps that little girl might have been named for “Donia”.

I often look back at the picture that is hanging on the Wall and wish you were here again. Mr. Carey told mother that you were a good teacher. Please, write again when you have time for I shall always be awaiting their arrival with pleasure

Your loving Pupil,

Dorothea. V. Palmer
