Dear Lillian:--

A few lines to let you know we are all still here.

I sure am glad that you will not analize my letters to see if I have them correct, for that is one thing I can’t do, that is to write a good letter.

I wish I could know that I could see you & family again this year in Florida. Daddy, Mamma and me are going down the first of February—to be gone a month or six weeks.

Gee! it would almost be like old times if we could run upon some of the crowd that was in camp at the same time we were, wouldn’t it?

Lillian do or don’t you correspond with “Bonnie”? I forget her last name, but you remember the couple that ran Poinsette Camp. Do they live in Orlando now?

For the past week it has seemed like July. it has been so pretty. one could go without an coat of any kind all day long. but today it seems like we are going to have another touch of winter. it has been raining all day & getting colder every hour.

Lillian, I told you about the little bull dog dad gave me in September. well, Sunday 23d some one around here put out poison & it killed my pup & two dogs across the road, a german police dog & a airdale. also a cat. It nearly wiped out our little hill of dogs. I am going to try my luck again. trying to raise one, when I get back, if nothing happens.

Cordelia said to tell you Hello & that she hoped all was well with you. Mamma said to tell you to give Mrs. Glasner her love & to the rest of the family said tell your mother to write her sometime.

In one of your letters Lillian you said something about young men “for dates”. I sure hope the boys up there are different from the ones here. Our town boys are most all fresh, are yours? Not all of them are, ‘cause there are still some old timers left. I guess tho, you go out a good deal, so I guess you know how it is.

Bill just came in (you remember Bill) & was telling me about a Chevrolet Sedan he had just seen up town for sale. He has a Ford strip & a Ford Touring car—he said he could sell his “strip” for enough to pay for the Chevrolet. So if Dad seconds the notion he will have it before the week is out.

I will close hoping to hear from you real soon.

Love to all the folks & yourself.

Lillian

P.S. I just must add this—Dad seconded the notion.
