Dear Lillian,
Well again I’ll plead your forgiveness for not answering sooner. But my excuse is that I have been quite busy since Xmas, also feeling rotten.
I have been making my baby clothes and have them nearly all finished except I want to make a couple more little dresses & gertrudes. My but a baby certainly does need just loads of clothes. Lots more than big folks, and one would think they would take less being they are so tiny, but oh so dirty.
I suppose you also are busy with your last sem. Work. Did you pass your first sem. exams? Are you doing practice teaching?
Where are Ruth & Dale living? Also where does Rose & Bud hand out. It sure did take the Sperry’s to find men. Of the two I think Ruth has the best of the two Dale always seems to be fairly sensible. They both want to be careful or they’ll be in the same fix that I am.
Oh, yes! If everything comes out alright in April, I’m planning to try and come to Olivet for Commencement. That is, if your mother would allow me inside her house with a wilting crying baby.
No, Lillian I don’t believe you really missed much by not being pledged to a sorority.
Say ask Irene what she meant by her remark about Lance Wanderly. I asked her but she didn’t tell me in her last letter. You know I can’t help but be just a little interested in that direction.
I suppose that you’ll be the next one to be getting married. But don’t get in a hurry. But you are married for a long time and one must be greatly in love.
Sincerely Geraldine.
