Dear Friends Lillian and Hellen.

We received your letter OB O.K. sure was glad to here from you. I don’t know if you folks got our last letter or not. We wrote it last spring. We have had a pretty bad Winter. We have had about 15 inches of snow for about 2 mounths it has fosc been 19 below twice. But we were lucky and sold most of the catle this fall. Do Do you kids evr go skating or is the snow on the ice. We haven’t got to skate much so far. But I don’t think it will be long befor We can skate hop so anyhow I suppose you think this papper is a funny shape. I made a mistake and cut the tope off. Are you and Hellen going to school. And what course are you taking. Wea Mamma and no kids haven’t been to sch to town for about 2 month’s of course had has. It sure seems along time yuou know we live about 25 miles from Burlington. About how tar far do you folks life from town or do you folks in town. Say what does your father do in Lansing? Mamma says is for you folks to come out next summer and bring your music we have a new piano and we can have a a concert and a high old time (can we we not Hellen) (Ha Ha) We sure wish you folke could come out. I don’t suppose we will ever get it to come would love to come tho’ Well as news is carce will clolse hoping to here from you folks soonsoon.
