Dear Lillian,
I’ve heard that you’ve been over to visit me several times and I’ve been absent—Gee, Id sure have stayed home if I’d known I was gong to have such a treat as seeing you with your hair bobbed. Must write me and tell me how it’s cut and how you like it and every little thing about it. You will, won’t you?
Aunt Gail and Aunt Alta are both here; that why I’ve been at Lake Odessa so much of the time. Margaret is over there now having some clothes made—I would be too but I’ve got a job!
I’m working with Supt. T. E. Berseth patching books and rearranging the library in general. Awful dirty work, but it’s a job and there’s money attached to it—I hope, though I haven’t seen any of it yet. And right now, I need funds because I’m going to Pontiac next week to spend at least a week if not more. Hot Dawg! More Fun!
Well how’s summer school coming? Don’t suppose you’re busy or anything like that.
Now don’t get discouraged or give-up hopes that you’ll never have one of my purty likenesses—cause you will have one as soon as I get them. Its been nearly a month since I had ‘em taken so I wrote ‘em a harsh letter yesterday, and they begged my pardon ‘cause of a misunderstanding so I expect ‘em soon.
The Hunt Stock Co. is in town but I mustn’t spend my money foolishly now so I’m suffering myself to mit it—sad.
I’m mearing my hair parted in the middle now—it’s fetching to say the least.
Must tell you that my Ivory Compact has attended a pile of dances and ridden in several gentlemen’s coat (and pants) pockets. It’s an awful handy little cuss and I’s so glad you got brilliant and gave me it.
Do you imagine you’ll ever be over to Nashville or perhaps write to Nashville this summer? If so, I would appreciate being included in either one or both
Much love
Pauline
