Dear Lillian:

I guess you think I have for-gotten you ,but I have not. I guess you are glad to get home from your trip are you not? Since you left I have taken up shorthand and typewriting, also book-keeping. I like it very much, although one has to study very hard. I have been going to the school for about five weeks.

Is it very hot way up there? It has been very not here for the past few days. Did you have a hard time getting home when you left here? Those pictures that we took were good, I will send you those double exposure of you and Hellen and one of the others that we took? Were those good of us that you took? If they are, will you send the negative? I want to see what they look like. I hope I can come up there this summer but I guess I can not if I go all summer to school like I am thinking of doing. I wish you could be a

t my house Thursday for I am giving a tackey party and would like for you to be here.

Do you go swimming very much? I do not go as often as I would like to, that is caused by not having anyone to go with me. I do not like to by myself.

I guess you think this is some writing but you will have to excuse it for, (as you have read) I have not been on a typewriter long, anyhow one can read this I guess.

How is Mrs Glesiner? Hope she is well and doing fine, and how is Hellen? Just as frisky as ever I guess isn’t she? How is Mr Glesiner doing fine I hope.

Mamma is sorry she did not answer your mother’s letter but Aunt Mamma is sorry she did not answer your mother’s letter but Aunt Betty was reading it and took it home with her. Mamma has told her and told her to bring it out here but she never has, any how I will try to mail this to the write right place.

Well I guess you are tired of reading this junk so I will have to close. Will write you agin.

Your friend,

Miss Lillian Burgess
Greenville S.C.
P.O. box 1125.

P.S. Please excuse this letter. I will try to do better next time, and you will see lots of improvements. Inclose you will find those pictures. Lillian
